2014 Week 1 | Family Pictures + Progress

by Kortney Campbell on January 8, 2014

2014 It’s been a week since 2014 started. Even though I just realized it’s actually Wednesday (and NOT Tuesday), it’s been my favorite year so far. It’s safe to say that I’m still really excited about my bucket list and “things I’m going to change”. In fact, some of them have been put into action full force (yoga-ever-damn-day, I love you)!

2014 had proven to be pretty productive and I love it. John started classes again and outside of my typical day-job work, I’ve taken on an exciting little photography project and finally settled on all the materials for Faux Moccs (finding eco-friendly, high quality, 100% US sourced materials is WAY more involved than I expected)! I stayed up until 3am on Monday sewing a few test pairs for Judah and I’m super excited to finally share them (keep your eyes peeled because I’ve got some pre-order specials and Vegan Housewives reader deals in the works).

Faux-Moccs The craziest part about the past 7 days is that, despite waking up early, going to bed late, making time for yoga, and just getting shit done, I’ve also had a lot of fun! I typically spend a lot of time saying “no” to stuff I’d love, due to feeling overwhelmed with a to-do list, but 2014 is a new year and I’m going to make it memorable by saying “yes” when I please (and only then).

This past week, Judah and I hung out with my brother-in law and nephew at the Saturday Morning Market and a local coffee shop; I discovered that Taco Bus has the most amazing vegan quesadilla; we went on wagon rides; we froze our butts off (and loved it), and braved the cold for dinner with some amazing friends (and Judah fell in love with one of them). Here are some of my favorite pictures from week 1 of 2014:

Have you put any into action? Have you given up on any yet? Feel free to share your struggles and successes in the comments so we can all encourage and support each other in 2014!

About Kortney Campbell

I'm Kortney; a wife, natural mama and vegan in love with life, food and all things vintage! I've been vegan since December 2007, but have loved to cook & create pretty things since before I can remember. I started Vegan Housewives because I don't think you have to give up the joys of food when going vegan! I have a fondness for re-creating non-vegan recipes (especially my grandma's), making a healthier & animal friendly version so be sure to send me your favorite concoctions by clicking our "share a recipe" button - I would LOVE to veg-i-fy them!
