Bethany Blake

Chattanooga, Tennessee

I am Bethany; I an adventurer and an actor, thankfully both of those things benefit the other. I was born and raised in Tennessee and after much disbelief from my meat loving, southern family I became a vegetarian when I was 12. I then became vegan about 6 years later and haven't looked back for one second. I am obsessed with fashion, Disney, learning my craft, and exploring new places. You know what they say, "Adventure is out there!"

Cassie Pflug

Miami, Florida

I was born a farmers granddaughter in small town Kansas. I always had a special connection to animals and became a vegetarian at the age of six after a traumatic realization and haven't looked back! In February 2012 I became a mother which made me happier than I ever imagined I could be! After researching nutrition for my family I quickly realized it was time to cut the crap! I became vegan and I've never felt better! I now live in Miami Florida with my husband Jon and my precious 18 month old daughter Georgie Clementine. I spend a lot of time playing and cuddling but I also juggle my work as an administrator for a non profit community center for pregnant women and families, a certified lactation counselor, and as a birth doula!

Courtney West

Longview, Texas

Hi I’m Courtney! I'm the owner and creator behind Sweet Miscellany, a very small baking venture based out of Longview, Texas. I specialize in creating vegan, wheat free, and gluten free treats as well as seasonal jams and preserves. Originally I began with the intention of creating healthier sweets made from whole foods and "better for you" ingredients. As my brother, sister, and I had to give up gluten, I began to see the need for more gluten free, wheat free, and vegan baked goods. My baking evolved (and is still evolving) to be able to provide a wide variety of baked goods and desserts to those that may not be able to enjoy conventional sweets. Having to be gluten free or choosing to be vegan (or being both!) should not mean that you have to be deprived of anything, especially dessert! The transition to baking gluten free and vegan has been quite the learning process, but it has taught me that anything is possible as long as I keep at it.

Eleni McMullin

I'm Eleni author of Convey The Moment {dot} com. I'm a vegan stay-at-home wife who has a serious passion for food, travel, fashion and health. I found a great interest for health while completing my Bachelor of Nursing Degree and have only become more invested as time has gone on. I have been a vegetarian for many years and became a vegan almost 2 years ago. I love educating others on the power of living kinder and how living cruelty free tastes and looks just as good! I like to call it my kinder lifestyle.

Elisabeth Sedlachek

England

I am Eli (short for Elisabeth). A nightowl, I love to stay up late when I can fully perform - especially read or write. I live in the south of England, a frog jump from the coast and share my space with my beloved husband and my rosey cheeked four year old daughter. I come from Poland, but having lived in the UK for the past 9 years, I can share its citizens' sense of humour, love for other countries' cuisine and lukewarm feelings towards weather (which has been windy recently). I am currently a working mum on the weekends and staying-at-home weekdays having fun blogging, working out and exploring our beautiful city. That's the reality. There are also dreams, hopes, excitement to discover every opportunity to stay happy in my own skin, my own environment and any environment possible. I hope you'll enjoy my appearance here. You can find more from me at TodayMyWay.com

Erin Griffin

St. Petersburg, Florida

Teaching and cooking are written in my DNA (thanks mom and dad). I finally relinquished myself to that fact in my early 30s and haven’t looked back. I read nutrition books for fun (like the science-y ones). I love mashing veggies for my 9-month-old while we sing along to 80s pop. And in my spare time I run The Yummy Kind, offering recipes, cooking classes, and nutrition education to anyone who wants to listen. You can find more information, and more of my recipes, at www.theyummykind.com.

Hannah

Liverpool, United Kingdom

Hannah is currently studying and working in Liverpool, UK where she'll (hopefully) by graduating with a degree in Drama & International Studies in 2014 and moving on to find her place in the "real world". She's also planning her wedding to her true love Jacob, to take place shortly after! In her free time, she likes cooking, baking, ballet dancing, working on her own blog, anything to do with horses, reading (mostly sic-fi and fantasy, although she sometimes enjoys more realistic stories) and playing the piano. She's particularly interested in vegan food & beauty, as well as planning a vegan wedding, so you can expect plenty of UK-related posts in those categories!

Haut Cosmetics

White Rock, B.C.

It has been her lifelong passion to bring out a glimpse of the true beauty of anyone who crosses her path. Joanne first embarked on this journey as a young writer. Any free moment was spent sketching pictures or writing poems and short stories about the special people in her life. With a large family of artists in her midst, she learned to appreciate the gift of creativity. Her greatest joy has been in doing freelance makeup for the past fourteen years. Her drive to illustrate beauty gained momentum when she lost one of the most vibrant and influential forces in her life, her grandmother. After her passing her diaries were uncovered and in them her grandmother described feelings of not being ‘pretty enough’. Yet, throughout her life her grandmother’s presence always lit up a room. That is true beauty…so exquisite it is timeless. Joanne’s life experiences have led her to believe that feminine charm is not only in the outward appearance; it is in the way one discreetly pleases the soul. HAUT, meaning ‘skin’ in German, has been created in a divine quest to redefine ‘pretty’ as being a colourful reflection of the inner details. A little about Amy... Amy is a wife and mother of three who enjoys the simple things in life. She strives to bring wholesome goodness to this world whether it is through her friendly personality or through her works. The things that bring joy to her life are family and friends, the smiles on her children’s faces, healthy living which includes maintaining an exercise routine, eating lots of vegetables and fruit and breathing in the freshness of the outdoors. Amy enjoys being a part of her sister’s Haut Cosmetics Line, collaborating on new ideas, contributing to the company’s PR and social media department. When Amy is working outside the home it would be as a Certified Dental Assistant or volunteering at the local Co-op Produce Market.

Katie Charos

St. Petersburg, Florida

HI, I'm Katie! Wife to a musician and mother to a hell raising kitten. My passions are all things fashion and beauty. By day I'm a hairdresser and by night i'm a cookie baking and crafting maven. I've been a vegetarian on and off since 2008. I started Vegan Housewives with Kortney because I was tired of seeing so many vegan recipes using expensive, elusive ingredients. I love simple recipes that can be thrown together with ingredients you have in your pantry. You don't have to be a chef to be able to make delicious vegan food.

I'm Kortney; a wife, natural mama and vegan in love with life, food and all things vintage! She writes vegan cookbooks to share her passion and show just how varied and exciting plant based food can be. She loves to travel and is always inspired by the food of global cultures. Additionally, Molly has opened vegan restaurants in California, Texas and New Mexico. She is currently working on her 4th book. If she’s not in her kitchen you will find her behind her camera, in front of her computer, on her meditation pillow, in a yoga class or watching Parks and Rec (Side note: I promise I’m not snobby. I grew up in a teepee so that took care of any privileged or snobby attitude I might have. besides that, I’m not even good at yoga. It has been my lifelong dream to touch even my fingers to the mat in a forward bend. It still boggles me that I can’t do it given that my arms are disproportionately long). Patience Melton

Clearwater, Florida

I am known on the internet and my local community as the GMO researcher. My goal is to serves to inspire the community to take a stance on its food supply. Veganism is a lifestyle I have embraced wholeheartedly the past four years. Though I consider myself an animal rights vegan, health has always been important to me. After six years at a conventionally grocery store I could no longer stand to see coworkers and customers not being concerned with what they were putting in their body. I started educating myself on health food and trends in the health food market. I applied as the GMO Researcher at a local heath food store and got the job! I want to make a difference in the world; I saw this as a great opportunity! Though not a mother nor a housewife, I am the oldest sister of seven very special rug-rats. I have had my fair share of dirty diapers and kissed oweys, and will forever make sure the Chupacabra does not come in the house. (The three year olds biggest fear) Those munchkins are the light to my world.

Sarah Span

St. Petersburg, Florida

Hi, I am Sarah. I have a very handsome and loving husband, Jerry, whom I have been married to for 12 years now! We are the parents of two beautiful, crazy and sweet little girls, Pence and Autumn. I am taking a stab at being a mostly stay at home mom for a second time (I work as a caregiver for a few hours for a sweet elderly woman). I chose this transition to take on the goodness and craziness of teaching my girls how to learn at home. I want my girls to have memoires that are saturated with laughter and lively moments and I felt that I could only offer them these things through a slower pace of life. I love to be at home because it allows me more time to take care of our four chickens, work on my furniture pieces and cook delicious healthy meals for my family! I am honored to be invited to share all of these enjoyable and merry moments with all of you. I can only anticipate that you will find them pleasantly encouraging to fulfill your inner desires of who you are as a woman, wife or mother.
