A few weeks ago my friend Sam was in town from Chicago. I love it when she comes to visit. We have been friends since high school and when she moved away to Chicago I was heart broken. In high school we always had crazy photo shoots in parks or our bedrooms. She would totally kill me if I posted pictures of us back then, but I’m so tempted! Turns out she’s actually an amazing photographer and has made a career out of it.

She asked if I would be up for a mini session before work one day. How could I say no? We went to the very same park we took pictures in almost 10 years ago. Of course she knew all the beautiful spots (those trees!).

I’ve just shared a few, but here are the rest of the images from the day.

If you follow my Instagram you will recognize Sam from the cat scratch (make that 6 scratches in her mouth and on her face). Unfortunately she was the one who inspired this post about my cat, Dylan. He got her pretty bad, thankfully she was understanding and doesn’t hate me.

While Sam was in town she also let me color her hair. We decided to go for a warm carmel ombre. It’s always so much fun when I get to do my friends hair. Here’s how it turned out.

    About Katie Charos

HI, I'm Katie! Wife to a musician and mother to a hell raising kitten. My passions are all things fashion and beauty. By day I'm a hairdresser and by night i'm a cookie baking and crafting maven. I've been a vegetarian on and off since 2008. I started Vegan Housewives with Kortney because I was tired of seeing so many vegan recipes using expensive, elusive ingredients. I love simple recipes that can be thrown together with ingredients you have in your pantry. You don't have to be a chef to be able to make delicious vegan food.
