  • Family Portrait Project | Week 6

by Kortney Campbell on October 16, 2013

This week has absolutely flown by. Come to think of it, since Judah was born, every week flies by. It’s so hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that this time last year (October 16th) was actually my due date! I spent the entire day trying to bring my labor on with no luck what-so-ever. It’s so crazy that he will be turning 1 this Monday!

Campbell-Family-Photo This family photo (of our “outside shoes”) sums up our life as of late. Now that Judah is walking (and climbing) like a pro, he wants to be outside ALL.THE.TIME and throws the fit of the century when we have to come inside. If we’d let him, I think he would live in a tent in the backyard. He runs around like a little explorer, getting into everything and has recently become obsessed with these 5′ bamboo sticks that I used to use in the garden; he refuses to put them down. He’s a baby Gandalf.

We’d love to see your family portraits too! Hashtag them #PortraitAweekProject or link to them in the comments below! Hope you’re all having a wonderful Wednesday!

PS: I’ve had a lot of people ask about Judah’s moccasins lately & they ARE in fact vegan! I had been looking for a vegan mocc for sometime with no luck so decided why not make them myself and offer them to others?! These were actually the first wearable pair I made so they were a bit of a “rough draft” to test the fabric durability, but Version 2.0 will be available for purchase soon! I will be sharing all of the details here on Vegan Housewives as soon as I get everything ironed out!

    About Kortney Campbell

I'm Kortney; a wife, natural mama and vegan in love with life, food and all things vintage! I've been vegan since December 2007, but have loved to cook & create pretty things since before I can remember. I started Vegan Housewives because I don't think you have to give up the joys of food when going vegan! I have a fondness for re-creating non-vegan recipes (especially my grandma's), making a healthier & animal friendly version so be sure to send me your favorite concoctions by clicking our "share a recipe" button - I would LOVE to veg-i-fy them!
