Farm Sanctuary Walk for Animals

by Kortney Campbell on August 29, 2012

While we love sharing vegan recipes and the ins and outs of our daily lives, sometimes we feel the need to spread the news about a worthy cause. Farm Sanctuary’s 2012 Walk for Animals is just that!

For more than 25 years, Farm Sanctuary has relied on the Walk for Farm Animals to support its life-saving mission to protect farm animals from cruelty, inspire change in the way society views and treats farm animals, and promote compassion.

Our amazingly wonderful (and newly engaged!) friend Nichole (pictured right) started a walk team and on November 3rd, we will be joining her in support of Farm Sanctuary to give animals a voice and to challenge the cruel practices of the factory farming industry. This will be baby Campbell’s very first stroll for animals, so it’s extra special to us!

This year’s Tampa walk takes place at Curtis Hixon Park in downtown Tampa, but there are walk locations Nationwide, so anyone can join the cause! If you’d like to join our walk team or just support the Walk for Farm Animals click here (or on our team’s sponsor block to the right) to view our team page! Just $15 covers your registration fee and gets you a tshirt!

Here’s a little video on the 2012 Walk for Farm Animals:

Side note: We are so honored to be one of the 2012 food sponsors for the walk and will be providing home baked vegan sweets at the finish line to all walkers that participate, so be sure to come out! We really want to meet you!

About Kortney Campbell

I'm Kortney; a wife, natural mama and vegan in love with life, food and all things vintage! I've been vegan since December 2007, but have loved to cook & create pretty things since before I can remember. I started Vegan Housewives because I don't think you have to give up the joys of food when going vegan! I have a fondness for re-creating non-vegan recipes (especially my grandma's), making a healthier & animal friendly version so be sure to send me your favorite concoctions by clicking our "share a recipe" button - I would LOVE to veg-i-fy them!
