{Giveaway} A Photography Workshop for the Everyday Mama

by Kortney Campbell on November 3, 2013

Judah -25 If you’ve been following along here for a while, you may have heard me talk about Stacy Paul Photography. She’s one of my favorite mamas that just so happens to be a badass mamma-jamma when it comes to taking pictures. She even took my wedding photos!

She recently took a few shots of Judah while he played at a local park and told me about an awesome idea she had: a photography workshop for the everyday mama! And what’s even cooler…she is going to giveaway a spot to a Vegan Housewives reader!

What you’ll learn in the workshop:

  • The basics of photography (shutter speed, aperture, ISO, composition, finding dreamy light, etc.).
  • How to really use your ‘fancy pants’ camera (all those little buttons will be explained!)!
  • Tips and tricks for taking fantastic snaps of your kids, plus how to have fun both behind and in front of the lens!

There will also be a mini photo shoot at a top secret location where you’ll be able to put your new sound skillz (yes, with a z) to work.

Not to mention, this is the perfect “excuse” for a mom’s day out & you’ll be hanging with other awesome mamas (::cough:: me ::cough::)!

Judah -39 Judah-1-Stacy-Paul-Photography Judah -30 Here’s how you enter:

  1. Head over to Stacy Paul Photography & check out her site/blog
  2. Like Stacy Paul Photography on Facebook
  3. Come back here and leave a comment letting us know why you’d like to be a part of the workshop

Judah-2-Stacy-Paul-Photography Judah -16 Judah -2 The workshop will take place on Sunday, December 7th in South Tampa, so this giveaway is going to be for locals (or those willing to travel). Also, space is very limited in order to ensure everyone is getting as much from the class is possible. If you’d like to ensure you have a spot reserved, you can sign up by emailing Stacy at stacy@stacypaulphotography.com!

The contest will close at midnight on Tuesday, November 5th. The winner will be picked using a random number generator and posted this Wednesday, November 6th!

Good Luck!

About Kortney Campbell

I'm Kortney; a wife, natural mama and vegan in love with life, food and all things vintage! I've been vegan since December 2007, but have loved to cook & create pretty things since before I can remember. I started Vegan Housewives because I don't think you have to give up the joys of food when going vegan! I have a fondness for re-creating non-vegan recipes (especially my grandma's), making a healthier & animal friendly version so be sure to send me your favorite concoctions by clicking our "share a recipe" button - I would LOVE to veg-i-fy them!

I’d love to be a part of this workshop as I truly love photography and I would love to learn how to photograph my child in better light and at better angles. Thanks for the opportunity!

My husband has one of those “fancy” cameras. He knows how to use some of the buttons but I just wind u picking one and going with it. My photos are okay but I’d love to learn from a pro who knows what they are doing. Not my husbands guesses!-)

I would LOVE to take this course because I need to learn how to best capture everything from the baby smiles to the toddler tantrums to the everyday moments that my precious children display. Time flies and the best way to relive it is through photos :)

Well this is just a fantastic idea! I absolutly love taking photos of my children. We really love getting messy and I just love capturing them in their “moments.” I have a descent camera but pretty much only use it on automatic so I really need to learn how to use it the correct way to get better results with my photos. I have considered taking some classes and even investing in a better camera but I am not ready for that type of commitment. I would love to be a part of this workshop because I believe in the old saying”a picture is worth a thousand words.” Pictures are how I record my children’s lives so of course I want them to be great! I like the idea of mamas day out and learning at the same time. =)

Hi! I’m Erin. I am a military wife & mom of 2 boys. I have grown a passion for photographing things & people alike but have never had the opportunity to really participate in a workshop. Being a busy mom, I have realized that “me time” is a luxury but also a necessity to be a great parent. With that said, I would love to be given this experience to further my passion and allow myself to discover what I can contribute to this wonderful world of photography.
