Hello, World! Love, Baby Judah

by Kortney Campbell on November 26, 2012

After much anticipation and build up, on October 21st, we welcomed our beautiful 6lb, 14oz baby boy into the world and called him Judah. Our lives have completely changed since we met this tiny vegan baby, but I can’t seem to recall how it was before him. He’s perfect, and after a much needed break from posting, I am finally ready to introduce him and SO excited about the things we have in store for the blog over the next month and in 2013!

Meet Judah:

Judah first graced us with his presence in a bathtub at Labor of Love Birth Center in Dunedin, FL, and came home with us that same night, but we’ll talk about all of that at a later time! This was the night he was born. He is a miniature version of his daddy.

He slept in his cradle the night he came home, but hasn’t really felt the urge to do it ever since. He prefers to use me as a bed!

The first few weeks consisted of a lot of sleeping, eating and hats.

Did I mention I have become a human bed?

And a desk! Working is definitely more interesting with a baby… He has grown so much since we brought him home! At his 4 week appointment, he was already 10lbs, 8oz!

His Halloween costume was too big, so we went with a onesie & hat! We even had a surprise birthday party for daddy!

He LOVES to sit up and hangout with us during the day while watching Baby Beethoven!

And every once and a while, I can get him to take the passy rather than using me as one!

He loves his big sister Kiki & she’s SO protective of him! No strangers are allowed to touch the baby.

The Boppy was perfect for naps the first few weeks!

He hung out in his Ergo for the whole Thanksgiving dinner & we even got a picture of his outfit before he peed on it!

His cloth diapers finally fit around his little chicken legs! We went with the BumGenius 4.0, which I’ll share a review of later!

We finished decorating the tree last night and can’t wait for Christmas. This holiday season, our hearts are so filled with love thanks to this little guy.

We are so happy to finally share this little life with you! There will be lots of exciting product reviews and giveaways coming to the blog and a vegan pregnancy Q & A in the following months, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled!

Have you had a vegan pregnancy or raised a vegan baby? We’d love to hear about your experiences in the comments below!

About Kortney Campbell

I'm Kortney; a wife, natural mama and vegan in love with life, food and all things vintage! I've been vegan since December 2007, but have loved to cook & create pretty things since before I can remember. I started Vegan Housewives because I don't think you have to give up the joys of food when going vegan! I have a fondness for re-creating non-vegan recipes (especially my grandma's), making a healthier & animal friendly version so be sure to send me your favorite concoctions by clicking our "share a recipe" button - I would LOVE to veg-i-fy them!
