• Holiday Gift Guide Part 4 | Vegan Books for Him, Her + Little Ones

by Kortney Campbell on December 19, 2013

Vegan-Holiday-Gift-Guide-Books It’s getting down to the wire so we’re sharing gift guides galore to try to help any last minute shoppers (like ourselves)! We shared a few of our favorite handmade gifts, wearable items and “necessities”, so today is all about books! You can never go wrong giving books as gifts- especially with kids!

Here’s part three of our vegan holiday gifts for the whole family series; the “things to read” gift guide!

    Things for Her to Read:

The Vegan Girl’s Guide to Life | I’m not a new vegan, but I still find myself reading labels, googling and trying to find vegan alternatives to everyday items. I love that this book includes crafts as well!

Betty Goes Vegan | I have always loved veganizing my grandma’s southern recipes! I won’t lie, I’m not usually a vegan cookbook person, but I’ve had my eye on this one for awhile.

    Things for Him to Read:

Making A Killing: The Political Economy of Animal Rights | This book sounds really interesting for him, her, veg, non-veg. It connects the dots between animal rights (well, lack thereof) and capitalism. It would be a great read to discuss and digest together too!

Vegan Cooking for Carnivores | We don’t know many vegan people. This would be awesome to have around for the times John’s I’m-not-eating-that-because-it’s- vegan friends come over!

Things for Little Ones to Read:

Dave Loves Chickens | This is my new favorite book that Judah has. It is ADORABLE and so unique! I’ll be doing a more detailed review of it this week as well!

Vegan is Love | I recently discovered Ruby Roth (I know, what kind of vegan am I) and love the ideas behind her books! This is definitely on my list of things to get Judah!

Which books are on your Vegan Holiday Wishlist?

    About Kortney Campbell

I'm Kortney; a wife, natural mama and vegan in love with life, food and all things vintage! I've been vegan since December 2007, but have loved to cook & create pretty things since before I can remember. I started Vegan Housewives because I don't think you have to give up the joys of food when going vegan! I have a fondness for re-creating non-vegan recipes (especially my grandma's), making a healthier & animal friendly version so be sure to send me your favorite concoctions by clicking our "share a recipe" button - I would LOVE to veg-i-fy them!
