It’s Friday, I’m in Love!

by Kortney Campbell on March 24, 2012

So, we had all the best intentions to get these up yesterday, but got a little side tracked. Anywho, here’s some of our fun finds from this week:

The new Chickpea Magazine is so amazing. We’re currently pondering over what we should attempt to contribute and how to get them in some of our local shops (they can be read online too though)!

This Taco Box is such a neat little idea for a sick or expecting friend & can easily be made vegan!

Fruity cocktails in popsicle form just in time for Spring? Yes, Please!

So of course we love vintage. However, it’s crazy to see how sexist some of the ads were back in the day. Thankfully, this is at least one thing that has improved!

Save Green now is the green version of Groupon & we’re obsessed. These little Rawxie cookies are on sale there now & we think they’re a must!

Fancify your hair with this chain (of fools?). How cute is this DIY?

We love snagging bread & oil samples from William Sonoma and Kortney likes to collect the Star War’s Kitchenware. Next in line? We are SO making these Avocado Cucumber Rolls!

We love Etsy AND a fun pair of tights. Put them together & you have a nautical pirate party on your legs.

Bicycle + Blog + NYC = Enough Said.

This strawberry green tea lemonade on Sew Indie looks so summery & delicious. Did we mention she’s the awesome creator of Chickpea Magazine (mentioned above)? Yeah…she’s pretty much been added to the hero list.

PS: Remember how I mentioned getting side tracked? Well, I’m pretty excited to share why. My husband John & some of his friends make these tribute videos to Pro-Martial Artist turned Japanese pop star, Genki Sudo & yesterday they shot their newest video for his song Machine Civilization. Here’s the first two they did (making up for missing Music Monday here too!) & I’ll be sure to share the newest one when it’s ready!

It’s so neat to watch them film these because it brings SO many people from all walks together. I’m pretty sure that’s Genki Sudo’s goal seeing how his tagline is “We are all one.” (proud wife!)

Also, John has been teaching me to play bass for the past week or so & I got my 1st ukelele (from my cool friend Courtney whom you should check out) last night, which also kept me side tracked. The banjo is next. Family band in planning!

Happy weekend to you – Do something fun!

About Kortney Campbell

I'm Kortney; a wife, natural mama and vegan in love with life, food and all things vintage! I've been vegan since December 2007, but have loved to cook & create pretty things since before I can remember. I started Vegan Housewives because I don't think you have to give up the joys of food when going vegan! I have a fondness for re-creating non-vegan recipes (especially my grandma's), making a healthier & animal friendly version so be sure to send me your favorite concoctions by clicking our "share a recipe" button - I would LOVE to veg-i-fy them!
