Mr. & Mrs. Charos: Honeymoon

by Kortney Campbell on April 23, 2012

Alexander and I took 2 weeks off of work for out honeymoon. For the first week, we drove up to north Georgia & stayed in my parent’s cabin. There aren’t many pictures to document our trip, just a few Polaroids, the majority of which did not turn out well.

Most of our time was spent hiking either trails on the mountain or at Amicalola Falls and there’s a great antique shop (aka a guys house with crazy antiques EVERYWHERE) that we spent some time in as well. We took a day trip to Atlanta to go to the aquarium and do some record and vintage shopping in Little Five Points, which is always amazing. And the rest of the trip was spent baking, sitting on the porch and building fires in the fire place.

The second week, we decided to spend at home. We didn’t live together before we got married, so I still had some stuff to finish moving in, meaning most of that week was spent unpacking boxes, moving furniture, and spending way too much money at Ikea. It was really nice to have a second week off just to get settled. We had a perfect low key honeymoon.

Did you have a busy honeymoon or did you spend most of it relaxing? If you could do it over again (or for the first time) what would you do?

About Kortney Campbell

I'm Kortney; a wife, natural mama and vegan in love with life, food and all things vintage! I've been vegan since December 2007, but have loved to cook & create pretty things since before I can remember. I started Vegan Housewives because I don't think you have to give up the joys of food when going vegan! I have a fondness for re-creating non-vegan recipes (especially my grandma's), making a healthier & animal friendly version so be sure to send me your favorite concoctions by clicking our "share a recipe" button - I would LOVE to veg-i-fy them!

Is this great antique shop… aka guys house with crazy antiques everywhere right outside Cherry Log? Or if you don’t know Cherry Log cause it is really really small, right after Ella Jay and before Blue Ridge? My parents live in Cherry Log and I go antiquing at this place every time I go up there. If this is the same place!!! PS… love you blog, BIG fan! ;-)
