Nutella & Banana Panini

by Kortney Campbell on May 17, 2012

This is a super simple panini using the Vegan Nutella that we made on Tuesday. It only has 4 ingredients, takes just a few minutes to make and I’m pretty sure you could even eat this for breakfast (since it has bananas in it, ya know?). Thats not the rule? Oh well, I’m still eating it for breakfast…don’t judge.

What You Need:

  1. Spread a healthy amount of nutella on both slices of bread.
  2. Sprinkle with cinnamon (optional).
  3. Cut the banana in half & lengthwise and place all of the pieces on top of the nutella.
  4. Place the other piece of bread on top.
  5. In a heated skillet, melt oil (I used coconut oil) and put your sandwich in. Flip when the bread is golden brown.

Eat with a glass of almond milk or coffee.

What are your favorite ways to eat nutella? Since it’s pretty new to us, we’d love some new ideas!

I *love* nutella on a toasted brown rice bagel – it’s my absolute favorite breakfast. Sometimes I’ll roll it in a crepe with a dollop of peanut butter and sliced bananas, too – I’ve been doing this for ages, but just last year I noticed a stand in the Union Square Christmas Market making them by the dozen! Nutella’s also lovely on toast with fresh strawberries sliced on top… Definitely the perfect food, nutella is. ;)

I LOVE Nutella! I love it in crepes with mascarpone or bananas. A restaurant I used to work at made a calzone stuffed with Nutella and bananas and topped with vanilla ice cream- so good! After reading this, I am craving some right now, but I think I will put it on wheat toast so I feel healthy :) I’m excited to try your vegan version!
