• Review: LipFix on Vegan Cuts

Okay, so a little secret about me: before going vegan, I was obsessed with Burt’s Bees and chapstick in general. I had at least 2 non-fancy lip products in every bag I owned and got a thrill out of breaking the safety seal on a new tube of the stuff. Like many new vegans, at the very beginning, I only changed my diet. Not because I only wanted to be partially vegan, but because I was actually unaware that many of my favorite products may not be too animal friendly. Now, over 3 years later, I’ve been on a search for the perfect vegan lip balm.

I’ve found that most vegan lip products are very similar. You put them on and your lips feel like a slip and slide for 10 minutes, then comes the worst peeling/chapping of your life (yuck!). Because of this, I actually put my chapstick search on a hault for a while (I like kissing my husband and peeling lips are no good for that). Now, thanks to our friends over at Vegan Cuts and Hair Fix, Inc, my search is officially over.

LipFix is Hair Fix’s line of vegan lip balm made from 76% organic ingredients and they’re 100% vegan! They come in 3 flavors: pomegranate, spearmint and unflavored and can be bought online and in select retail outlets for $3.95. Also, I’m in love. The spearmint is my favorite (possibly due to my yearning for something similar to my previous relationship with Burt’s Bees), but all three flavors are fantastic. What’s even better though – they last! If I put it on before bed, I wake up to perfectly moisturized lips! Needless to say, this is my new go-to lip product and I HIGHLY recommend trying it out (especially while it’s on sale)!

PS: If you’ve been following our product reviews, you know that I HATE washing my hair. That being said, Hair Fix also has their line of dry shampoos up on Vegan Cuts right now as well and I’m DYING to try them out! They make them for all different hair colors to prevent that powdery look the roots that I’ve hesitantly learned to embrace!

Have you tried any of Hair/Lip Fix’s products or shopped on Vegan Cuts? If so, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

Please Note: While this product was provided by Hair Fix, Inc through an affiliation with Vegan Cuts, all reviews on Vegan Housewives are 100% honest and unbiased. If we don’t like a product, we don’t want you to waste your money, so we’d never falsify our opinion!

PSS: If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen that John and my proposal story is going to be featured in our local newspaper, the Tampa Tribune. We’re super excited about it because yesterday was exactly 2 years since the proposal and the writer had no idea when he called to interview us! I’ll be sure to share the story when it comes out!

Hope your week is going wonderful!
    XO- Kortney

I have used and love HairFix, LipFix and SkinFix soaps for 3 years now. My scalp usually gets oily by the end of the day. My favorite way to use HairFix is to put in on when my hair is clean, after shampooing in the morning so that the powder is already there on to soak up the oils that will be excreted during the day. It doubles the wear compared to using it once hair is already oily and keeps my hair clean for 2-3 days, which is phenomenal for hair that usually needs shampooing daily. And I like to use my hands for application, while my friends like using a makeup brush. Happy HairFixing!
