This Week’s Local Adventures!

by Kortney Campbell on April 17, 2012

There are a few events going on this week that we’d really like to see you at! This first one is taking place at Cafe Bohemia, one of our favorite St. Pete restaurants with lots of vegan options! It’s an open mic night & book drive to help raise money for my husband’s Honor Society at school & the flyer was made by yours truly!

Our friends kids are finishing up their eastcoast tour this week in Tarpon Springs tonight & Orlando tomorrow.

Katie’s husband’s band, Alexander & the grapes will be playing Friday night at Cafe Bohemia!

The next event is a  Vegan Bake Sale on Record Store Day, Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Mojo Books & Music, 2540 E. Fowler Ave., Tampa, FL, from 10 a.m. until sellout! All the proceeds go towards helping feral cats!

Saturday after the open mic night, stop by Art Pool for their 4th Anniversary Party for some vintage, art & awesome people!

We hope to see you at one or all of these events! XO Kortney

About Kortney Campbell

I'm Kortney; a wife, natural mama and vegan in love with life, food and all things vintage! I've been vegan since December 2007, but have loved to cook & create pretty things since before I can remember. I started Vegan Housewives because I don't think you have to give up the joys of food when going vegan! I have a fondness for re-creating non-vegan recipes (especially my grandma's), making a healthier & animal friendly version so be sure to send me your favorite concoctions by clicking our "share a recipe" button - I would LOVE to veg-i-fy them!

Ugh, I wish I lived in any of these places to take part in these cool events…
By the way, there’s another amazing event coming up that you and your readers should know about! Vegan Chef Ayinde Howell’s fantastic food pop-up, Wildflower, will be making its way to San Francisco to celebrate Cinco de Mayo! Anybody in the area must check it out. You can learn more info at http://ieatgrass.com/wildflower-pop-up/ .
