I haven’t given a baby update (with the exception of Instagram photos) in a little while now, so I figured since Tuesday was the big 6 month (24 week) mark and I look like I swallowed a melon, now would be a decent time to do it.
This is a real thing. I had always heard about it from others, but didn’t really think it happened. I was so wrong. In the past few weekends, I have completely de-cluttered and re-organized our entire apartment which has led to several trips to the thrift store with my poor little Prius packed so tightly that there was no room for a passenger, or to see out any windows but the front.
Aside from de-cluttering, I have also re-organized every single cabinet in the house and brought everything that was once in the office (now, baby room) into either our bedroom or livingroom. Odly enough, I like the new location of it all.
John (whom has been doing a little preparing of his own) is constantly asking me to stop cleaning, but truth be told, if I’m not cleaning, I’m building up anxiety deciding what needs to be cleaned (or moved one inch to the left). This weekend, I will address the back porch and probably vacuum several more times.
Baby Campbell’s Room:
His (I really can’t wait until I’m allowed to spill the baby name beans!) room is finally coming along…well at least one corner of it. We’ve been so blessed to have literally enough hand-me-downs to clothe him for the first 6-9 months of his life and our amazing friend Stacy is giving us a crib. We couldn’t ask for better friends!
As part of my re-organization, I have washed every article of his clothing, organized them by type and size and hung them up in his little closet. I also found a glider on sale at the trift store this weekend, so that’s another thing down! This Sunday, I’ll be heading over to a friend’s house to get her sewing 101 expertise and I’ll start making the bedding – I can’t wait! There will definitely be more pictures of the progress to come.
I’m excited to say that I’ve finally made it through the crappy-food nausea stage and I’m able to eat healthy again! I’m currently obsessed with spinach salads with ginger dressing, veggies of all sorts, fresh cherries and the chick-un salad from Tuesday’s blog.
Now that I’m working from home, I’ve also grown a new obsession with really enjoying breakfast. I’ve started a little morning routine that includes decaf coffee, good food and a walk around the block with Keyshia. I can’t wait to take baby campbell on these walks!
